About me

Who is Xavier?

I'm a software engineer who builds integration plugins and full-stack applications. I love solving technical challenges, crafting clean interfaces, and shipping products that make a real impact. When I'm not coding, I'm exploring new tech, learning, or trying to build something new.

My Journey So Far

I made the switch from being a Field Service Engineer to diving into the world of Software Development because I’ve always loved being creative and exploring new ideas. After six years of working with hardware—installing and maintaining it—I decided to focus on software instead. My first attempt at a minimum viable product (MVP) was meant to improve the software I used in my tech job, but unfortunately, I never got to show it to the right audience.

When I joined the Umuzi bootcamp, I quickly realized that creating software is about a lot more than just writing code. I spotted a problem and decided to tackle it by building my first app. I put together a Chrome extension to help students manage their tasks better and boost productivity during sprints and daily stand-ups. Like with all first projects, I knew it was time to move on. Taskforge relied too much on Umuzi's infrastructure, and it wasn't a great fit since the platform was changing.

I love being adaptable and don’t want to be stuck using just one technology stack. Instead, I'm all about exploring different technologies to level up my skills and effectiveness. I focus on solving problems dynamically and enjoy taking on challenges with a fresh perspective.

My recent work

  • TaskForge — Productivity command center for Tilde board users that keeps stand-ups tight and blockers visible.
  • Radinium Vision — SAFR-powered facial recognition plugin streaming metadata into Milestone Search and Alarm Manager.
  • Radinium Fire — A fire-integration bridge that normalizes MODBUS, BACNET, and FPI events for Milestone consoles.
  • Radinium License Portal — Blazor web app that centralizes plugin licensing, activation, and entitlement reporting.
